This is a really interesting building, showing how Amsterdam has evolved through history. The church at the top is a real surprise in size and style. The audioguide is good and the carefully chosen artefacts help give a flavour of the city through the ages.

Our visit was ruined by two simultaneous school groups. Borh noisy and intrusive and disrespectful of the sanctity of the museum. One group in particular had a very loud teacher who lectured her group non-stop regardless of other visitors trying to listen to the audio...More

This is a beautiful little church built by a wealthy merchant in his attic. The living quarters below are interesting but the church is special.

Don't miss this. Fascinating "house church" - yes, a surprisingly large church inside a typical Amsterdam canal house from the days when Catholics couldn't have services openly. Unique and highly recommended.

Church in the attic was as advertised, but I also enjoyed the tour of the rest of the house. Well worth the investment to visit!

This is a small look into the history. The audioguide gives an interesting input. And it is beautifully restored. Take your time to see this.

The entrance to the museum is of contemporary architecture, you wonder what you are going to see....The first part (in the basement) is informative and well done, but when you transition into the actual building you are transported in an other era. It is just...More

Hi, the previous answers cover it - good recorded audio explanation in English. I needed some directions to locate the building - it's right down in the red-light end of the street. Have a great time!
