The Rijksmuseum is a trip back in history. You will need lots of time to see it all. We purchased our tickets at the hotel on the day of the visit with no issues. Go and enjoy.

A great way to spend a few hours viewing Dutch history. The venue is huge and be prepared for some stairs as the elevator is slow and constantly full of other visitors. Other then that it was great.

We began early and stayed until closing, yet we were unable to see all the rooms. The chronological arrangement provides a sense of Dutch history unknown to us before our visit. An added treat was aria performed by buskers at the entrance of the building.

A very beautiful museum showing important pieces from European history and fine Dutch painters like Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Remember the museum closed at 17.00.

Fascinating tour. I can’t imagine how they control the lines in peak season; I was there on a Thurs eve in September and it was super busy.

As always the Rijksmuseum delivers. This year the Roccocco exhibition was taking my breath away. One of the truly "must see"sites in Amsterdam!

Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part
of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh
Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed
museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you
need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the
Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark,
the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand
connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
