Crazy crowded in August for Palio and summer but Siena is one of the most atmospheric ancient towns I have ever explored. Loved it just book what you can on line to avoid queues.

Lovely, atmospheric, fascinating, intimidating, inspiring your imagination. Walk round, get lost, have lunch or dinner, visit museums, learn about the towns rich tradition.

This “a-maze-ing” historical city center is… Um, amazing. It reminds me of the medieval Tallinn, Estonia. Only, the Italian ambiance is more evident. I thoroughly enjoyed wandering about the maze-like cobblestone streets. Turn a corner, and there’s a building dating to the AD1200s. Palaces (palazzos),...More

this is where they hold the famous Palio horse race. If thinking of travelling here ,do watch the film all about this most famous of races held every July and August. Interesting and very political and corrupt

A great medieval and charming small city to wonder around and get lost. Great place to shop and spend a day walking and discovering the medieval streets. Visit to the Siena Cathedral is a must!

This is an old very unusual city in Tuscany. Narrow streets with different flags because of different quarters, a lot of shops, beautiful square at the center.

Small city, beautiful, worth the day trip to roam around it. Nice little stores, stunning churches and beautiful buildings

It was very fun walking through the streets of Siena as every turn could promise something exciting. The streets are very narrow and picturesque.

Siena is one of my favourite towns in Tuscany. It can get busy but it’s absolutely stunning. Worth walking around the smaller side streets too.

Most of the Siena visitors come there for one day visit. This means to come around 11am and to leave 5pm latest. We were staying over the night, so we got to the city center at around 6pm. Miracle. Almost empty streets, touristic shops closing...More

I'm not sure what you are asking, but a very nice leather shop, in nearby Florence, is Misuri. Yes, it is expensive; however, they have a very nice variety, and very accommodating sales staff. They had the largest... More
