All of the information listed inside is in Italian. I would suggest you find out as much as you can before visiting. Regardless, I thought it was very interesting and a beautiful setting. This is where the patron saint of Siena lived.

Cloister and courtyard with two chapels, one on each side of the courtyard. Very spiritual place in Siena. Beautiful chapel with original tile floor from 1400's. Well worth finding.

This little nunnery once housed St. Catharina of Siena and contains one building with some beautiful artwork and a smallish chapel. The nunnery is located just of the street in or out of Siena when you come (or go out) round the stadium.

It was always very quiet when we visited. There is a large courtyard ( toilets located here) and we visited a small chapel in the grounds which seemed to be the only area open when we visited. There is at the entrance to the church...More

Our hotel was just behind this small church which I believe had once been the home of St. Catherine of Siena. It has two small chapels and a courtyard and is free to visit. There is also a shop.

St. Catherine's house is a better location to understand and experience St. Catherine than the Basilica of San Domenico, also known as Basilica Cateriniana. The Basilica may have the relic of her head, but the house has her story. The house has three main chapels,...More
