This Cathedral is stunning, more so on the outside than the inside. Although we liked it, we found many more beautiful churches and cathedrals that were free of charge in Siena that was much more beautiful and had a deeper spiritual connection to its history.
The mosaics, frescos, sculptures and other artworks in this building are incredible. Make sure you enter the room on the left that says 'library', as it contains some of the most beautiful illuminated manuscripts (i.e. early music scores) on public display.

We went with the family and this is an interesting visit. You can visit the museum and the cathedral in one shot and it s nice. The views from the top of the museum building are incredible. Very recommended.
