San gimignano....has the famous award winning gelateria di pizza where numerous flavours of gelatos are in store. Excellent place for photography and the narrow streets are a treat to walk

Really superb medieval town, which is beautifully cared for. It is like going back hundreds of years. There are fantastic panorama views over miles of Tuscan countryside. There was a market when we visited selling local produce and local cheeses. Many I have never seen...More

The city and everything there is medieval and nice. For who likes history it is the perfect trip. Spend some days or go there a few moments...you are gonna be surprised.

Really, this is "italian Krumlov". You can feel like in open-air muzeum here, which is little weird, but just amazing.

It`s rather easy toget to the Tuscan Manhattan by public transport. However, there are no railroads and it will be a bus from Siena or from Florence. 1. From Siena. The 130 bus to Siena departs from Piazza Gramsci, the main transportation junction, named after...More

Lots to do. Best Gelato ever! Beautiful old streets with boutique stores. Climbed a lovely old tower (looked like someone's home). The views from the top of the tower of the town and the hillsides were idyllic. We bought a lovely piece of art work...More

The towers beckoned us there from miles away... We found parking and then started a short walk to the gates and into the city. We wandered but were never lost, the towers stood out and gave us reference a sense of place within. And the...More

This is one of my favourite places in the world. Hardly I found something this charming and relaxing. The beauty of San Gimignano is unique and the road to reach it is worth as much as the city itself.

This village is truly worth a visit. There is so much history here. Make sure you do your homework before coming here or take a guided tour because you will miss out on so much if you don't. The well/cistern in the historic centre has...More

To san Gimignano there is no train station, it only can be reached by bus. If you come through florence you have to take a bus or train to Poggibonsi and take another bus to san gamignano. Its a 90min ride

I hope it's not too late to answer your question. The best thing you can do is to take the train all the way to a little town called Pogibonsi. The train does not stop in San Gimignano. So, take a bus from Pogibonsi to San... More
