A real gem of a place. Quiet, off the beaten track with stunning views and a delightful church. There is a community that lives/works here

A serene working monastery on the Via Francegina, just before San Giminignano, a secluded location with panoramic views of the town and countryside. Unfortunately we arrived on Sunday mid-mass so weren’t able to explore the building or produce on offer by the Monks

Quiet spot to spend half an hour or so. Tremendous views of San Gimignano & surrounding countryside. There is also a small 'monastery' shop selling pottery & various farm produce.

The ancient church has celtic designs on the columns and walls - very interesting, simple and beautifully preserved and maintained. The jams which are made by the nuns are absolutely wonderful.
