While wandering through San Gimignano we found Balducci Ceramics. We were drawn in by the cute animals in the front window. Inside we stopped to watch the artist work for a bit. The pieces are beautiful and if we could have figured out a way...More

Definitely visit here if you are in San Gimignano, just at the foot of the Rocca. All the other shops clustered along Via san Giovanni or around the Duomo have the same ceramics that all look mass produced. These are made on site and are...More

I watched Franco at the wheel and was fascinated by his craft. Purchased his cypress trees trio and they grace our mantel at home. Love his earth tones and graceful lines.

We toured the ceramic shop and very much appreciated the numerous creative designs and the artisan workmanship displayed in these works. The colors were very Italian as they were bright and conveyed an enjoyment by the creators.

Gorgeous ceramics, pure craftsmanship. Lovely little shop. Usually you can see one of the artist (husband or wife) at work. Either at the potters wheel or handbuilding. Being an amateur ceramist myself I got very inspired by this place.

This cute little shop has both lovely functional pottery and cute little pottery creatures that call to you from their shelf just outside the shop door. The shop is worth a stop to appreciate the work.

We found the ceramics in this shop beautiful. Such lovely bowls. We wanted to buy one but no one wanted to help us. We ended up going further down the road to another so.

An interesting little local shop to visit. A working potters shop with hand made items to buy. The non drip oil decanters are original to Balducci Ceramics. Worth a look and to purchase a unique item.
