Don't miss walking up to the well in the center. It had deep grooves from decades of ropes that you can fit your fingers in.

Standing in the center of this wonderful town with its ancient cistern you are surrounded by the towers that make it unique. Close your eyes and then open them and you are back in the passt.

This piazza is a wonderful area of historic San Gimignano. It is worth sitting a people watching and the architecture is wonderful. Had to skip the famous gelato as the line was huge.

San Gimignano is a lovely Italian hilltop town in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The towers in the town are very impressive and can be seen from miles away. The Piazza is a lovely place to have a relaxing morning coffee and people watch. Lovely experience.

Lovely traditional piazza in a stunning town. Several cafe bars to sit and watch the world go by. Also home to the Dondoli gelato which is a must for all.

An iconic beautifully preserved and presented square, towers, restaurants, gelato, bars and a stepped feature in its centre for sitting and looking at the sights and fellow passing tourists. Cameras at the ready, good luck getting a shot without a zillion tourists. Smiled to myself...More

This place doesn't take a bad picture. Everywhere you look is a Kodak moment (I think I showed my age). Bring your walking/hiking boots. Traversing into the center of the city can be a steep climb, bit well worth it. My advice is to spare...More
