The city walls are not open all the time. You access them from the corner of the Piazza dei Miracle where you pay 3 euros. There are a few steps to access and more if you want to go up the viewing tower. The walkway...More

The walls are not open all the time, so when arrange tours enquire from the tour guides about the opening period. It's a 3.1 km walk with awesome views of the city and the complex that the Pisa Tower is located in.

Do get a good guide as would miss a lot of details. It takes just over an hour and the view of the Piazza dei Miracoli from the walls is stunning. You can also see the Jewish Cemetery from above.

Occasionally during the year, the medieval walls access is open to the public to walk on top of these walls & see the city from another perspective! So if it happens that you are visiting Pisa and this attraction is open, take advantage and climb...More
