The ground-floor display offers a vision of the cathedral complex through inscriptions and casts, but especially it provides a close-up view of the sculptures that have been removed from the Piazza during the many restoration operations.

The building is quite nice, but the exhibits are nothing special. If you have few time, better contentrate on the dome area. Only go there, if you really have spare time.

There is not a great deal to see here. If one is on a tight schedule than this can be given a skip. We stood in the queue to enter and were taken aback a little!
