Another beautiful Italian church but not as wealthy as those of the major cities. Grand public space inf front of church links with main shopping street.

I felt something strange in this Church. There was very different Romanesc details. I'm not sure does it worth to climb to the frightening tower but as you can guess the reward is a perfect panoramic view.

Beautiful historic church in Florence started building in 1296. This gothic style church is very unique because its facade finished with polychrome marble panels. Pink , white and green colours are amazing. Building finished in 1436.

I think the most interesting part about this cathedral apart from lovely paintings, sculptures, etc was the story we heard about the pilgrimage's being able to view the wooden cross enclosure from the large keyhole viewer in the front door.

Beautiful cathedral with gorgeous stained glass, many paintings, sculptures, etc. Situated in a nice piazza, too. We didn't have the time to climb the tower.

We went on a Sunday morning and bought a combo ticket that allowed us to climb the tower, tour the church and museum, and another church with unearthed ruins, plus another tower to climb. The main cathedral is quite lovely and the towers were fun...More
