Entry is round the back near the wall and you exit out of the front onto the streets. It was 6 euros for access to both house and gardens. You could easily walk around everything in an hour or a little over. It has the...More

We saw this garden from the walls around Lucca (they go all around the city and give you a great vantage point in which to check out the neighborhoods). It was so pretty I felt we had to make time to visit it. We went...More

The gardens are stunning and are such a serene and peaceful place to rest on a hot afternoon. The house is less interesting but the medical instruments and the preserved foetus (it’s fascinating not grotesque!) are worth seeing.

We just visited the beautiful Villa Pfanner in Lucca. It's well worth seeing. Several major rooms of restored villa are now open to the public as are the beautiful gardens.

The villa is interesting and worth a visit, but the real delight is the garden. If you have been walking the walls it is a joy to break off here and spend an hour just soaking up the atmosphere
