From far away you can already see the bell tower of the cathedral. It is a very old structure, built in the 11. century.

Not a church of beauty, but a large church of intrigue. It was begun in 1028, and completely restored in the 1800's. There is a relic here, the body of St Romolus, who is the St of Fiesole. Also, the exit doors are some of...More

The cathedral is a lovely place to visit if you have time in Florence. There are so many places to see in Florence and this is just one of the many magical places to see. Well worth it!

The church dominates the lower area of the town. It is plain but this adds to its charm with its height bell tower. Inside it is quite dark but interesting. Worth a look if in the town.

While visiting Fiesole, I was fortunate enough to attend the noon Epiphany Mass at the Cathedral San Romolo. Not very big, nor was the noon attendance large. Great couple of hours to spend on a chilly day touring Fiesole.

Fiesole is a wonderful village, and we loved the character of this cathedral after seeing so much opulance in so many others. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, the smell of incense from morning services still in the air. There was only one more...More

This Cathedral it's located just in Piazza Mino, where the bus leaves passengers, in Fiesole's centre. Cathedral has a great contrast to Baroque churches that you can find in Florence. The tower is beautiful and you have a glimpse of Tuscany outsider the very touristic...More
