Giulia was our tour guide for what turned out to be a private tour. She was attentive and knowledgeable. Loved the surprise gelato stop. It was nice to see Florence from a local viewpoint! Highly recommended!
Awesome walking tour! Learned a ton about the history of Florence. Daniel was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Florence. Also loved the small group of 6 - makes it more personable. Thanks for the great tour Daniel!
This was an excellent way to orient ourselves to the city. We were fortunate enough to have just three persons in our group which meant that we could engage in an ongoing conversation with our guide for the better part of three hours!
Booked online and met Martina at the piazza as planned
The tour lasted 2 hours and was in all my family’s view excellent and incredibly informative. Beyond this she helped in the busier parts of town moving tourists away so we could get a first...More
I can't say enough about how wonderful Ilaria was as a tour guide. She was so friendly, kind and really got the kids involved in looking at the paintings, thinking about the content, and reflecting on how styles changed. My 8 and 10 year old...More

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
