It might be worth while buying tickets in advance, as we had to wait to buy ours for approx 40 minutes. The painting and ceilings was fantastic to look at. Well worth a visit.

The gardens are absolutely stunning. I visited in September and purchased ticket on the day. There was no queue. Strongly recommend.

Huge, huge complex with vast numbers of works. There are several very good pieces in the collection but they are spread out throughout the numerous rooms. While you will be in awe of the magnitude of the building I was surprized at how similar each...More

if you want to avoid the crowds at the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti is a good alternative. You can get a timed entrance to the Palace and/or gardens, so crowds are never too overwhelming. The only "issue" we had in July was the extreme heat and...More

Ruebens, Bronzino, Raphael, Caravaggio, Botticelli, Van Dyck, Lippi and other "masters" of the 16th and 17th centuries are on display in this magnificent gallery. No lines, relative low cost, and a less crowded gallery make this one of the museums of Florence not to miss.

Just go and see everything. All is very carefully preserved and there are explanationsin every room. You can really see the grandour of the past here and it is one of the best museums I have seen in Italy.

We went in the morning with an entrance of about 10:00am. There were people but not the massive crowds of central Florence. This was probably my favorite tour besides David and the Accademia. Art work galore from the famous and not quite famous artists such...More

The Galleria Palatina (Palatine Gallery), is one of the eight museums comprising the Pitti Palace. My wife and I just can’t visit it enough. It’s much less crowded than the Uffizi, so it’s easy to wander through its 28 rooms and admire masterpieces by the...More

Palazzo Pitti is a beautiful museum. Arriving at the palace and looking at the exterior makes the expectations go skyhigh! I am not the interior livet up to the expectations, but the Palatine Gallery is beautiful and it is worth a visit.

The wall and ceiling paintings in this building are amazing, obviously built and decorated to impress! Plenty of excellent paintings and statues as well. Leave time to explore the Boboli Gardens as well as they are extensive and impressive.

I am not sure. Please look online at the primary attraction. If you plan to see more things please look at the city pass as the easy access to most events was also a great perk!
