The architecture and style of these buildings around the Duomo is amazing. Take time to look and take in the surrondings, they are beautiful.

If you visited duomo cathedral, and went all the way up, no need to go up again the same route in the tower next to duomo. As the view is not same as from cathedral, it is not seen clearly as you are in cage.

Quite a climb up old twisting stairs, so not for the faint hearted or the unfit, but worth the effort when you get to the top, for the views over the city and the hills across the river. Simply stunning.

We went to the top of the dome and the bell tower. The line to the dome is longer but I think the bell tower is better if you had to choose because the view is of the dome, so spectacular! Just breathtaking and totally...More

Me, my husband and my 2 young children climbed the tower - amazing! Absolutely amazing with amazing views! I would highly recommend it but there are a lot of stairs and no lift as far as I am aware.

The beautiful bell tower reaches 84m in height. It was actually built by three architects the first of which, Giotto, saw only the beginning before his death in 1337. After Giotto came Andrea Pisano who oversaw most of the remaining construction until 1348 when he...More

We went in February (very cold and windy) and waited for 30min in line (around 10/11 AM) so make sure to go very early to get in. Worth it and better than going on top of the Cupola of the Duomo. The campanile is higher...More

This multi-level marvel will entice you with its towering opportunity to see the blooming city from above. And you will certainly see it - from a variety of levels. You think you are done, then there is a sign for more stairs this way -...More

The staircase inside the campanile is steep and narrow, but there are a few places to rest on the way to the top. The views at the top would be spectacular, except for the heavy wire mesh screen around the perimeter. In my opinion, the...More

I have climbed it, and none will forbid you to take it with you, but i suggest you to climb it without the daypack because you have nearly 1000 stairs to climb. Hope you enjoy Florence. It's a wonderful city.😊
