We accidentally wandered in for free without realizing that it was about 8 Euros to enter (we just waltzed in and the person at the front was talking to someone else and didn't even acknowledge us, and we only noticed that there was supposed to...More

Very disappointing. This is not a museum about shoes, it’s about the Hollywood of Ferragamo’s day and other Italians that found fame there. Lots of black and white photos, memorabilia a wall full of lithographs on plates. One small display of shoes 20% were from...More

Went today and looked around. This was interesting as it has more history than you would think about Hollywood. Good time and would recommend.

There was one room with some shoes in it. They were interesting to look at. Apparently they rotate exhibits. The rest of the small museum is currently displaying Italians who were prominent during the silent film era. Valentino is the only one I recognized. I'm...More

There was an interesting exhibit on Ferragamo's involvement in Hollywood but wished that there were a few more items from collection/archives.

This museum was new to us and we enjoyed very much the material presented and the way and setting. We had no idea of the Hollywood background of S. Ferragamo before he came to Florence. Or the history of the Italian early cinema. A must...More

Truthfully I was disappointed that there were only about 2 dozen pairs of shoes on display. Most of the area was devoted to Italians in Hollywood in the 1920s and 30s, which was interesting but not what I sought.

Apparently it's not what it used to be. If you expect to see thousands of shoes you'd be disappointed - that was my wife's expectation and she was. Quite frankly I am glad it's not a shoe exhibit, there is one really nice painting inside...More

On my fourth trip to Florence, I made a point to go to some of the less well known museums. As luck would have it, my sister was with me on this trip. What better excursion for two sisters than to go to the Ferragamo...More

A beautiful museum with an impressive amount of history on the Italian who came to America, like Ferragamo, and brought their talents and creative flair to many industries. There is a lot of footage on cinema, since Ferragamo worked at one point as shoemaker to...More
