The Greek structure is still visible, and fascinating! The Duomo and its piazza are outstanding. Definitely nice to sit and have a drink facing the church and watch the light change.

Beautiful cathedral! One of the best things we saw in Siracusa. You can have espresso and cannoli at the square while enjoying the view to the cathedral.

Located in the beautiful square it is a magnificent building. Well worth seeing. All the buildings are made of a light colour limestone so the whole place shines.

This is a magnificent Duomo, The sculpture and masonry works are wonderful The frescos are beautiful and the alter and saints all add to the feel of the place. This is one of the best Cathedrals in Sicily and we worth a visit.

This beautiful duomo is the home of Santa Lucia's relic if you are into that sort of thing. The Baroque facade lends itself to a rather plain interior. The Greek temple sides are the star attraction.

Many people are attracted to the this building because of its gorgeous baroque front but once you enter it becomes apparent that it’s origins date back much further. Never have I seen a cathedral that has been constructed using the columns of an ancient temple...More

Very large and impressive. Great place for photos. Usually has large crowds around. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Stunningly beautiful, ornate Baroque on the outside perched on top of it's imposing flight of stairs, inside it is impressive because of it's relative austerity. The "recycled" Greek columns "organically" set into the structure of the place are just fabulous. I found it more atmospheric...More

I love visiting churches and Duomos in Italy. They are all fastinating and each one exceptional in its own way. This one being no exception. Santa Lucia's hand is the icon here and the statue of her, although behind her altar door is amaxing. We...More

Great example of the Sicilian baroque. You have to pay 2€ to get inside but it’s worthwhile going. Simply decorated. Outside it’s simply spectacular
