Definitely for those who love old stones and are looking for archeological sites. What makes this site special is that it is right in the middle of a city, even adjoining Ortigia food market. An odd combination which makes it unexpected and therefore will make you stop to look at it. All Italy is full of these sites and since I am one of the old stones lovers, all the better. And as usual, in Ortigia exactly like in Venice, if it is beautiful by day, it is much more by night when everything becomes somehow kind of mysterious or ...even magical.…

I am always delighted to see these preserved ruins in the middle of a town or city. It is always a surprise and yet a reminder that we were not the first ones to occupy these areas. It always gives me an appreciation of the past and stimulates my imagination to what once was. Stop and enjoy…
