We visited here in May 2022, prior to visiting I contacted the reservations team regarding how best to travel to the winery from central Palermo - they were extremely helpful and instead of getting a very expensive taxi, we managed to get the quick 25 minute train and the winery was about a 10 minute walk from the station.
The host of the tour was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and was happy to ask any of the groups questions. We were on the standard tour which included 3 wines and food pairings - all delicious! I would definitely recommend to visit here if you have a spare morning.

This place should be top of the list of anyone visiting Palermo. It is such a refreshing change from the historical places in Palermo frequented by tourists.
A short ride on the train from Palermo Centrale and a short walk from the train station .
We were very fortunate to have Valentina as our guide. She is fantastically friendly, knowledgeable and gave us an thoroughly enjoyable tour of the cellar with great explanations of the history and process of wine making. Following the cellar tour, we tasted 5 different types of wines (both white and red), paired with Sicilian bread with different tomato based spreads ..they were divine.
The staff are super friendly and helpful . We got a bit lost walking from the train station, and was hot and flustered by the time we got there. When we left, Valentina offered us a ride to the train station! Now that is what we called fantastic service !!

Half day tour was amazing hosted by Ingrid who was so informative and friendly. It was very interesting and finished off with tasting White, 2 Reds & Masala accompanied by little plates of food. We were given a little book at the end of our visit which recommended wines to go with food along with space for notes. Would highly recommend a visit it is spotless and the gift shop is amazing.

This is a great way to spend an hour and a half for about 13 euros per person, well worth it considering the amount of wine you get to sample and the free guide book you get. A very knowledgeable and helpful guide showed us round and served us the wine to sample, which was delicious, as was the food. You have to pre-book and they asked us for any dietary preferences: I am vegan and my wife doesn't eat meat. We were well catered for. The shop is definitely worth a visit afterwards, where you can buy some wine but there are plenty other interesting things like Sicilian cook books in several languages, liqueurs, small jars of Sicilian sauces etc.

Unfortunately a cancelled train resulted in us having to cancel our scheduled tour. However the staff were kind enough to reschedule our tour for the following day. The winery itself is very grand and beautiful. We were greeted by Valentina who is the most lovely, welcoming tour guide you could ask for. She is extremely knowledgable and friendly. The history behind this winery is so interesting and you will discover so much about Sicilian wine making. We loved the tasting so much that we decided to take some wine home. They even organised a shipment of bottles back to Glasgow for us which saved us a lot of hassle! I thoroughly recommend this tour, if you love wine, this will make your holiday.
I must also add that if you are using a smartphone, do not follow the trip-advisor Apple maps directions to Duca di Salaparuta as they are incorrect for some reason. To clarify, it is in Casteldacchia, Palermo and as a reference is around 100m away from ‘Hotel Solunto Mare’, on the other side of the road.

This is must for wine lovers who visit Sicily! Had the pleasure of a tour of this beautiful winery. They made us so welcome and the guide (I think her name was Valentina) was so knowledgeable and very informative. Was able to take photographs and she was so patient answering our questions. The wine tasting at the end was a delight and so enjoyable, I could have stayed all day! The wine was wonderful, the attention to detail was superb and the friendliness was out of this world! An absolute must for wine lovers. We will be there again next year!

I had the pleasure of attending a wine tasting and group lunch with a travel group of 10 people and we had a wonderful time at the winery! The staff was great and our tour guide was multilingual and excellent. I cannot recommend this option highly enough when visiting Palermo. Do a wine tasting and then head to Soluntum ruins for great views. Perfect day!

This was a very pleasant tour of a winery. Very historical and the largest. We had a very informative tour ( in English ) and a wine tasting was also included for us. A very enjoyable day. We also visited the gift shop which I enjoyed. Nice people!

Thinking about visiting this winery in September. Am I right in thinking that there's no actual vineyards nearby? I was hoping to see some vineyards/walk round/take some nice photos, but I think this place is just the winery and tastings etc, right?
Thanks in advance if someone could confirm this for me please!
