Me and my friend entered into the church and we were so impressive about the architecture and any detail at every eye catch! The most wonderful holly place we've seen in our lifes! We love it, therefore we came back for many times during the...More

Me and mum wandered in and spent a lovely half hour admiring the work in the lady chapel. It was helped by there being a guided tour in English at the same time.

not as ornate as the others but this one spoke to my soul - it was so beautiful and calming - just off of the corners - I fear people miss the real gem of a church

A vast, beautiful Baroque church, immaculately kept, right on the Quattro Canti in the heart of Palermo. Extraordinarily imposing. A short visit will leave an indelible memory. Recommended.

I think I mixed up some pictures I took inside of Chiesa del Gesu and here at San Giuseppe dei Teatini. That is because they are both similar in the amount of glorious, ornate artwork throughout their entirety. Teatini seems darker overall, when compared to...More

At first glance you would hardly recognise this building as a church. It was only when I crossed the road and later looked around me that I noticed the large gleaming dome above and decided to have a look. Other buildings have similar entrances, a...More

Not well visible when one walks by, it is located in one of the 4 Corners (Quattro Canti). San Giuseppe dei Teatini is one of the most beautiful churches in Palermo featuring an outstanding baroque style. I've visited hundred of churches all of over the...More

large nondescript church with an impressive over the top baroque interior. Fresco ceiling, oversize reliefs, the lot. Two side chapels have an eye catching combination of stucco and marble inlay decor - see the Jesuit church for a whole church in the same style. Free...More

Tucked away behind one of the corners of the Quattro Canti, we were lucky as it was open in preparation for a wedding later in the day. One of thecmost exuberant baroque interiors in Palermo, so well worth visiting.

I am sure it will be open; most likely, mass will be said these days. It was free when I went there.
