Great scenery surrounded by brilliant coffee shops with historic buildings. Have coffee at boyh coffee shops and take in the awesome sights and sounds of Sicily's Catania.

Worth a quick visit to see the beautiful decorations inside. The remembrance candles are electric though which, for me, ruined my experience as I prefer a real candle.

In this square are many lovely old buildings including St. Agatha's Cathedral, beautiful and generally quiet. Nearby the busy fish market and the old waterfall provide contrasting scenes. There are many good restaurants and bars.

There is a fountain in front of cathedral. In the center is an obelisk with an elephan which is a mark of Catania.

Visit the cathedral, church and market and then stop off for a refreshing appetiser which is always accompanied with nibbles. Then watch as the world goes by!

The Cathedral has a stunning facade. Interior is not as elaborate as the exterior. The Piazza is large and has or interesting building. Also there is a very good resturant located on the street that runs down the left side of the cathedral..

Piazza Duomo is the main piazza in Catania. There you can find the heart of the city. Also in the middle of the piazza, there is the symbol of the city: the Elephant. The stunning Duomo and very old and nice buildings.

Yes. It is really easy and close, just exit from the port, turn left and walk following the archs. You'll arrive at "Porta Uzeda" at your right. Cross it and you'll be there.
