Worth to see
Sep 2021 • Couples
We’ve booked a visit via e-mail (available on MOGAM web-site) and been asked to be there on agreed time. We came a little bit earlier but they let us in without any problem. It is very nice private museum with kind and willing staff. We’ve enjoyed it and I highly recommend to visit this museum. It’s worth to see (if you are a fan of cars/motorcycles and art).

Great place to visit

This was a very interesting museum. The cars, engines, motorbikes and artwork all fascinating. Made even the more interesting by the attendant. With a lot of gestures and slow speaking, we understood each other. His knowledge greatly received. A peaceful place to walk around at your leisure

Unique exhibition!
Jun 2019 • Couples
First of all I can't understand the complaints of the reviewer about this place at all!

This is a unique exhibition of cars, motorcycles, art and memorabilia related to cars and racing!

The visit itself is memorable: We were picked up at the gate at the appointed time and driven through a great garden / estate to the exhibition. Our guide spoke only Italian but made every effort so we could understand most of his explanations about the place and collection. The exhibits themselves had signs so you know what you are looking at.

Not only is the car collection amazing, the combination of the cars, art, trophies, pictures etc. is truly unique.

I think it is a gift of the private collector to invite the public to see his collection. The €10 entrance fee are definitely worth it! We spent 40 minutes there, we were the only visitors. The exhibition is housed in four rooms. We took the local bus 726 (€1) so no expensive cab ride is necessary.

Small but unique

We made an appointment to stop here on our way out of town as a surprise for the car obsessed 9 year old. The location was easy to find and the nice caretaker was waiting for us right on time. The setting is beautiful, a winding drive of olive and orange trees. And the cars! And auto themed art! It's a small museum, so don't be surprised, and I'm sure some will say the 10 euro ticket is too high, but we enjoyed it.

10 Euro per person to tour someone's garage!

What a let down! First of all it is about a 16E taxi ride...one way....from the center of Catania. (Wish I knew that..32E round trip...this better be great!) Well it wasn't. The good news was that we were alone with the cars...in the garage! The picture on the website is deceiving. It is of the home of the owner. You walk around this into an albeit very large garage. There are some 25 cars/motorcycles....and a second supposedly "wow" room of 7 Formula One cars. I was accompanied by two 17 year old boys...one is even a Nascar fan and has never missed a visit to the N.Y. Auto Show since he was 4. What a let down... Yes, the cars are great to look at. Yes, my son could tell me about them. But, even he thought, what a let down and waste of time and money in Catania. In fact, the word "MOGUM" is now used to define that which was a "bust, farce or over-hyped attraction."

Staff Museo MOGAM
