This is a free exhibition although once inside there is an exhibition that you can pay to see. I assume that this may change.
We were able to walk in and enjoy the building and explore the art work. We particularly loved the pair of wolves.

During our stroll from the cruise pier to Elephant Square, we passed by Palace of Culture. You are free to enter and view the exhibits or shows at display. Occasionally there will be concerts or performances that attract many audiences. Nice to view the local exhibitions.

impressionism exhibit
Mar 2019 • Couples
Came here thanks to an advice by the staff of our Hotel. A nice Baroque palace, from the courtyard there is the access to the exhibit. It's a temporary exhibit and I had the chance to see many impressionist paintings. Worth the visit

Modernism, urban ambient by Umberto Gagliano.

At the Cultural Palace in Catania, we visited a pop art exhibition, «Viva Sant'Agata - Catania in Pop Art», very interesting, unique, of a Catania artist, Umberto Gagliano. We liked not only the paintings but also his person, the painter taking his visitors himself. It was a real pleasure to meet him.
We do not know what we would say to be over 30-40 years on the streets of Catania. What we know for sure is that we want to present and represent us in a painting, artist Umberto Gagliano, in his light and colors. And if you take home a painting by the artist, you will not only take his talent, but complete joy.

Unusual place
Dec 2018 • Friends
We went here as there was an artisan market but were surprised to see a mock up of a room of how people lived 70-80 years ago.

Viewing of new Impressionist exhibition
Oct 2018
This show of 56 pieces includes not only pieces (although minor) by Mary Cassat, Edouard Manet, Vincent van Gogh and others it also includes works by less well-known, but often as competent artists such as Henry Somm, Edouard Brandon, Charles Albert Lebourg and others. The audio guide via your phone is also helpful. The gift shop is decent, especially if you are looking for introductory art books for kids.

Historic Art Gallery

It wasn't easy to find this place, even by asking a local but we persisted( even with a map). When we were there they had a special exhibition on that was well worth our time. You may see signs for special shows posted around Palermo. That's how we found out about the Impressionist Show we attended.

Great Escher retrospective exhibition
Sep 2017 • Friends
Great Escher retrospective exhibition made mostly (or only) from Italian collections. There was very interesting Escher’s view of Italy (and especially Sicily) during his visit and his later famous art as well. The place itself is very pleasant.
