A lovely church. The steps to the terrace are well maintained and there is room to pass people in the opposite direction. The last set of circular stairs are narrow, but not too long. A wonderful view of Etna. Well worth the climb B.

The church has an interesting interior and is full of light but the really interesting part (if you are ready to invest 3 euro) awaits at its roof from which you can see the whole old town and have a great view of the Etna....More

This Cathedral offers you the great vies over Catania and over Mount Etna. The entrance fee isn't high and you can see the beauty of Etna from it.

Before visiting Catania I checked the main attractions, but somehow I missed this one. Nevertheless, when I was there I saw people on the top, so I also decided to visit it. It was cheap (3 EUR), and had an awesome view over the city,...More

A must-do if you're in Catania. Compared to many towers in Italy, this one is an easy climb and the reward is great. Certainly a good way to spend 3 euro per person and would be good do do with kids.

Fantastic views can be had from the rooftop. We got lucky by happening to be there at noon. All of the nearby church bells rang out.

After a week in Sicily, I wasn't exactly champing at the bit to see another but we knew that the terrace and cupola provided city views and so we entered. The church itself is lovely if not overwhelming, but pay the 2 euros to climb...More

Let's face it, Italy is mostly about churches and duomos regardless of where you are. In that sense, this a worthy representation of the devotion to St Agatha who appears prominent throughout Catania.

This is a small elegant church. Inside is bright, beautiful, uncluttered, unusual for a baroque church. The marble colors and patterns can be appreciated clearly. Then pay to go to the Dome. The steps are very manageable, The first set of stairs brings you to...More
