It's one of the main baroque monuments of the city. The church is distinguished by its magnificent facade, with patterns of concave and convex lines, and the impressive octagonal dome, which dominates the building. For 3 Euro you can go up till the terrace and...More

Nice little church, worth checking out especially for the dome as you can climb up and view the city from above. There aren't so many stairs, no lift. Take some water with you and go up. The views are over Catania are really nice and...More

A beautiful and wonderous Cathedral dedicated to the Patron Saint Agatha. A must see event, and plan to spend a little more time admiring the beautiful interior and altars.

The Chiesa della Badia di Sant’Agata itself is a rather modest and cute litte church. For a mere 3€ you can walk up the stairs (no elevator) to the terazza. From there a very narrow staircase leads up to the top of the dome, from...More

Best place to start the Etna experience. Catania has plenty of magnificent buildings, and when you wish to escape of their captivity, this is the best place to go and have a view over that majesty.
