Lets face it the exterior of this wonderful old survivor has seen better days. Its blotched exterior with areas of graffiti down the sides looks like it has seen plenty over its days. The interior is in much better condition and is quite something. We...More

Surrounded by interesting neoclassical buildings and a refreshing fountain, the plaza in front of the theater is a great spot to walk through or sit for a minute and relax. I only admired the theater from the outside but its architecture and intricate details are...More

Wanted to go here to see Opera but couldn’t get to see one so visited the building. It is beautiful and well worth a visit . The square in front has cafes and bars. The building is historic and impressive.

Modest in size, but impressive in its exterior detail. I didn't enter but I think the plaza in front of the theatre is one of Catania's best. Small, with a fountain, it has a few good restaurants right nearby and is busy at night.

The teatro has ongoing tours all day every 30 minutes. Primary language is in English and Italian so you should have no problem just arriving to teatro and purchasing tickets there. For other type of tours not sure.
