This Pozzo Sacro is interesting because it shows that even the ancient people living there believed in sacrification. It is amazing to see such an incredible monument in a place where you would not expect it. I gave it 3 stars because there isn't a...More

Sacred wells were dedicated to the water goddess who was also the earth mother. This one is in a peaceful location reached from a big car park , a short walk through wild flowers and herbs. It is a very quiet place- one is able...More

Stunningly well preserved Bronze Age well north of Olbia center. You need to go via the zone industriale to get access and parking as the old sign by the national road is completely closed off. Impressive construction with clear waters filling the well.

First off, this place is slightly tricky to find - the key is to take the small road that is immediately behind the supermarket, which can be difficult to access when you come off the crazy Italian roundabout. Anyway, we arrived expecting to just spend...More

It is a bit difficult to find this site, even with a GPS. So follow the street that goes to the mall. I was lucky to be there and be guided by three very charming and adorable high school students trying to practice their English....More

To find the Pozzo Sacro is not so easy as the road signs are difficult to see. Easiest is to go by car in the direction to Pittulongo, and turn right when the Pozzo Sacro hotel appears on left side of the road. Pass the...More

It is a very interesting place although there is no one there to offer answers for questions and little literature to read on the place
