Sat on a brightly coloured train making ding ding noises attracting sympathetic glances from pedestrians but hey, what a great way to see and hear about the best of the Centro Storico port area so you can walk back to your favourite bits later. And...More

Only around 20 minutes but gives you an idea of where things are in the old town and my 2 year old particularly enjoyed it. Not expensive either, think it was €5 each.
We took our young children on the train as they had seen it the previous day and were keen to ride on it. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The train takes a windy route through the old town, and although you could...More
Waited 45mins on the horse cart for them to drum up enough interest/money to make the trip worth their while, took the money off us when we got on, then made us wait 45mins in the heat when we could have been away having our...More

We hopped on here to get some shade as it was blisteringly hot. A fiver each for a 20 minute tour of old town - quite short really. There was an audio tape in a few languages to tell you what you were looking at...More
We took this from the corner of the harbour near the bus station. You can't miss it as there are horse carriage trips, open top bus and other vehicles offering the town trips. It was €5 per adult for a trip around the new and...More
We took this charming train to visit the medieval historic centre of Alghero. The tour was really relaxing and interesting...had the chance to understand better the history of the town and the same time enjoy the panorama
This is a quick and fun way to see Alghero town. You could probably walk it in 45 mins but for a fiver, why not. Probably lasts around 25mins and stops at a few points for photos
This is really a short track, about 20 minutes and by walking with a map you can see everything and much more free of charge. For me it was also a bit annoying that they waited until the train was completely full before take off,...More
