We were part of life just staying here and exploring the area. It seems full of characters, but all were wonderful. Everyone smokes.

This is an extremely charming part of Bari. It is referred to as the "old city", and with no cars allowed, one is free to walk around the streets and alleys and not worry about traffic. It is a residential neighborhood where you see clothes...More

All the things you fantasize about, but easily accessible from the Bari international airport. We considered giving up the rest of our trip and just staying here, though curiosity prevailed. If your plane arrives late and you’re tired, don’t hesitate to stay in a charming...More

Perhaps we were only very lucky because in spite of all the warnings given about the possibility of minor crime in the narrow backstreets of historic Bari we wandered around enjoying the ambiance and taking photos in comlpete peace.

Walking through all these little streets, with their typical houses brings you in a piece of mind about the past long ago time when nothing was in a rush.

Very quaint - and you most certainly end up eating something (probably the local tarali)! Make sure to travel all the little streets, there are hidden gems here and there...

This is where you still see the ladies hand rolling pasta outside their homes and offering for sale right there. It's a site to see as you can picture the life hundreds of years ago. Quaint alleyways and streets only fit for pedestrians. Charming!

It's quite big and there are many little narrow streets there. However, not so many cafes and very small number of shops.
