Bridge has sales tents all across the deck so hard to appreciate the structure.
The walking sidewalk on the outside of the city river is a good way to avoid the crowds and still see all of the significant bridges.
This is a very picturesque bridge and the history makes it even more special. It was bombed as the Germans were leaving Italy and the locals fished the stones out of the river to rebuild it. Originally a roman bridge.
It's worth the walk to this top part of the old town and a wander across the bridge to enjoy the views back across the river. This is also where the roman amphitheater is, which we didn't visit (it didn't look like much was left)....More
