This garden is accessible from the 1st stage of the cable car going up Monte Mottarone. Depending on the time of day you might want to stop off to view it after your visit to the summit, but that is entirely optional. In the morning...More

A ten minute walk from the cable car change-over station you'll find the Alpine garden. As others have suggested, I suspect that the time of year of the visit will have a marked impact on the quality and impact of the flowering plants. We visited...More

Nothing special but as it was only €4 we were not too disappointed. It may look better at other times in the year.

We took the walk from the mid-station of the cable car. It's not a huge national park garden but rather a small independent one. For the keen garden lover it's an interesting 30-60 minute detour. Worth a visit if you are a gardener.

Friendly service at small well maintained garden. Not too much blooming but very tranquil area to walk around.

We walked from the midpoint of the cable car ride, taking 15 minutes. The alpine garden is relatively small but well maintained. Only some of the flowers were in bloom and most of the flowers were the same that we have at home (northeast US)....More

The gardens were not at their best due to the time of year. However, it was a tranquil place to wander and admire the views. Tranquil that is, until someone switched on the piped rock music which came out of fake rock speakers all around...More

Thank you for visiting our Botanical Garden. We are so sorry about the noise, but we were probably testing our brand new audio system.

This is by far the smallest and least spectacular garden in the area, an optional extra for the itinerary, but it does have a nice view of Lake Maggiore. There are toilets but no refreshments or shop other than a few items for sale on...More
