Lovely views from cable car. Then from chair lift to summit. Worth a short ramble on the summit to see some amazing rock formations and ridge overlooking Lake orta in distance. We walked the first half down the mountain on a rocky but pleasant footpath...More

Must be visited. We have quite good day, not much cold, a bit cloudy, but the view from the top was fabulous with lakes and mountains. Takes around 20 min to get on the top.

What a fun day. We strolled along the ocean front through a beautiful park with amazing flowering bushes everywhere. Arrived at the cable car and admired all the wonderful views. Stopped midway and visited the garden which was OK. Continued to the top and had...More

As many sources rate this cable car ride highly, I don't think that it was worth the time, price or effort. The view was nice, the ride was nice, but overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Fantastic views from the top, if you dare the chair lift as well as the cable car! Once at the top you are free to walk about admiring the views, or have a bite to eat or go on the roller coaster. Definitely worth a...More

Cable car is easily accessible from Stresa and easy to find (really close to the lake and to the harbour) Return ticket for adults: 21 Euro As for standard: it is less modern that Swiss cable cars and during the joirney cabin was shaking from...More

Unless you absolutely must ride a crammed cable car with very little to see en route to complete your bucket list, just get in your car and use your GPS. There is a charge to see the Alpine gardens. Non vale la pena.

The cable car starts, not at Stresa, as we had been told but right next to the boat station at Carcciano. Two cable car riders and a chairlift all included in the price. Views of the Italian and Swiss mountains not to be missed. Nice...More

The views heading up are stunning. Felt it was a little expensive at $19 per person and there isn’t much to do at the top but the views make up for it.

If the weather is good then this is a wonderful way to see the best views of Lake Maggiore. You take 2 cable cars and one chair lift to get to the top but you can stop at any of the stages and have a...More

I think if you get there around 1000 you should be ok but they seemed to give priority to cyclists. Personally I wouldn't wait for the last car but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't leave anybody up there. Weather forecast... More

Ok it's more than 300m but it only takes about 10 minutes to walk, probably more like half a K. It's certainly worth it though, great views.
