I can't resist bargains of quality products such as small leather bags in bright colours made in Italy for 10 euros. On my second visit to the market it took me some time to understand that even the Chinese were selling leather not plastic after...More

It is huge and if you want to see it all, reserve a day so that you will be able to take a break and have a drink or bite. Our kids had fun in searching for the 'treasures' using their pocket money. Most of...More

The market is very extensive but is full of the same boring stalls. There are a couple of hidden gems if you have the patience to walk incredibly slowly to find them. Obviously they are trying to earn a living but for the rubbish they...More

Went to the Friday market as a day trip from nice. Took the train from niceville train station. Round trip was about 30 euro for two. The market is pretty big but you see much of the merchandise over and over again in the different...More

We were a family of 6 staying in Nice, France for a week and decided to take the train to Ventimiglia for a day trip. We went on Friday as that's the day the outdoor market is held and we'd read a lot about it....More

Visited the market as a day trip while staying in Villefranche sur mer in France and we had a lovely day. The market is much bigger and longer than we had expected. Take your time and visit all the stalls to find the best price...More

This used to be my favourite Riviera market but returning after six years a decline in quality and increase in prices are visible. I managed to find things worth buying, mainly what Italians call stock, remnants from previous seasons. Big leatherbags in all possible colours...More

Go and have fun! Great deals to be had. So much selection! Don't buy at the first place. Keep walking. Lovely blouses, high quality leather gloves, unbelievable deals on leather purses. Just great!

Every Friday, the market stalls overtake the streets close to the sea. Plenty of local produce, as well as clothing, shoes, electronics, gadgets, household fare. A fair bit of repetition, with lots of stalls selling the same merchandise at the same prices. Also lots of...More

Lots of variety of locally grown products at this market. Prices were reasonable. Lovely flowers and herbs as well.

Hi I guess around nine o'clock, I don't get there usually before 11 when it is already in full swing. Ventimiglia is a very small city, just walk down towards the sea, the market is the main attraction.

Hi! The market is all year round; every Friday. I've been in January and it was big, but selection was noticeably smaller. The fresh food market is always the same!
