Walking along this pedestrian street is a wonderful experience. Palace after palace! Some of them open to the public throughout the year, and more open on special occasions.

Get your tickets at the souvenir shop and you can visit Bianchi, Sturdi and Rosso. Note that the first two are art museums, without much furniture or interior decoration. Rosso offers a bit more variety, and a good view over the city roof tops.

Genoa used to be one of the mightiest and richest city-states for a long time, due to its trade routes and powerfull navy. On these buildings all the former might and glory can be easily seen, and it's a sight to admire.

We thought it was great value for money at 7 euros each and you get to see three palaces, the Rosso, Bianco and Tursi. There are literally hundreds of paintings, displays of ceramics and some furnished apartments. Some youngsters might not enjoy though.
