We climbed to the top of vernazzo and enjoyed a lovely pasta meal in Castello Doria - though one glass of wine came out dirty and we had to quibble with a short tempered waiter, generally the experience was great with good food, authentic cooking,...More

From La Spezia we took the train to Monterosso and then walked back all the way, following the track around the mountain, on the way passing by all the five villages of Cinque Terre. It was exhausting but exhilarating. We met hundreds of other trackers...More

The stairs are fun. It's hidden entrance is down by the eater between the green and oink buildings. You can find the sign on the wall. It costs 1.5€ for entrance but don't hesitate to pay. You'll get some great pictures!

The view and the beauty is worth it ! A very high point of the area and great views of the ocean. Not too crowded and quite peaceful. There is a fee but it isn't much.

This is a nice area to beat the crowds at certain times of the day. It's worth visiting for the view alone.

I climbed the little castle by myself my partner didn't want to walk so i just did it quick. It was well worth it and to see the amazing views and just to relax and catch my breathe and take in the breeze.

Not only all the views to Vernazza from this Castello are beautiful, you can also sense a Medieval character when you climb up there on the cliff on steep stairs, very narrow streets and even narrower snailshell-like stairs to the top of the main tower...More

If you want to get a panoramic view of Vernazza and the sea, this is where you go to! It took us around 15 minutes to walk all the way up to the castle. I have back problems, but I didn't find it particularly hard...More

Definitely make it to the top - it's so worth it! It cost a couple of euros to enter, but it was great to see the coastline and village from above. A must see!
