I came upon the loggia by chance at dusk and it was a magical experience with an acapella choir singing. The whole piazza area is like a film set - surreal.

beautiful place, and best of it: its quiet and not packed with people like many other places even in high season

Beautiful Venetian civic square situated below the castle. Great for picture takers. Less frequented by the locals.

nice square in the city center of Udine, with well maintained buildings. Up on the hill, there is the castle. On the square a magnificent bell tower. In the evening, the locals come here to walk around. Not to be missed !

This indeed is a very beautiful place. You can find an old meteoroligical station here and a very particular thermometer. Nice.

This is the largest square in Udine, with the magnificent Venetian Loggia Del Lionella and the impressive Arco Bollani on two sides. There is a large pedestrianised space in the centre, but take care of the traffic passing by. A must see location in Udine.
