Wonderful short trip from Trieste, (bus #6) is worth exploring. Amazing views of the sea, beautiful gardens to walk, and a palace that would fit into the Hapsburg Vienna. Very nice.

Got number six bus from Trieste train station for €1.50. 15 minute walk from terminus to Castle. Lovely gardens with tearoom. Interesting castle with lots of paintings and beautiful furniture. Well worth spending 2 to 3 hours.
