This was one of my very best museum experiences. The selection, positioning and lighting on all pieces was perfect. The museum staff were fantastic and informative. Thank-you.

When we visited we were the only people visiting in the building. Some amazing modern mosaics with the paintboards inspiring them on the ground floor. Very helpful staff.

Don't be put off! There's some great work in here. Modern work, and work from throughout the 20th Century. Painters and Mosaicists working together, including Mark Chagall. Some great works, not just traditional work, either. There's a great piece using nozzles from spray cans. The...More

After a day looking at ancient mosaics, it was really interesting looking at the evolution in the modern art. I was fascinated by the use of new materials and the colours. It completes perfectly a visit of the mosaics in Ravenna.

Enough here to keep you occupied for half a day. The temporary exhibition was a bit hit and miss but the permanent artworks were interesting and the general atmosphere of the place was refreshing.
