As part of the Pilotta museums we visited this archaeological museum. There are 4 rooms with Egyptian Greek, Etruscan and Roman artifacts and statues. It is rather small, but worth a visit.

If one is interested in coins, they have a big collection. Otherwise, the most arresting feature is a group of eight Roman statutes excavated in the area.

While visiting the Farnese teatro we visited the exhibition PArmegianino and Correggio Two Parma artists -16 the century and we enjoyed it very much. The museum has a nice collection of triptych + a lovely small drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. Enjoy. Yona S.

The museum is small. It's included in the combined ticket and since it's located in the same complex as the Fornese Theater one might as well see it. It should take no longer than an hour for thorough viewing.
