We were going to visit magnificent Battistero di Parma, but the tickets included the Museo Diocesano, so we decided to stop by. Glad we did! It is the place where the original statues of the Battistero exterior are on display (the 13th century statues of...More

We bought a joint ticket for this and the octagonal Baptistery across the piazza. Didn’t really find this museum overly exciting, apart form the odd-looking stone lions. Maybe if there had been some information in English available then we might’ve given a higher rating.

We walked through the mostly Roman artifacts in this museum after touring the Bapistery. Some interesting Roman pieces but not extraordinary.

The entrance ticket is included in the Baptistery ticket, so go if you are already there. There are some nice mosaics, and statues.

Having bought a ticket for the beautiful Battisterio, one can also visit il Museo Diecesano with the same ticket. It Shows some Roman excavations but is not comparable to the other monuments around the square.

This is a small museum, but worth visiting because of the well-preserved mosaics, and nicely laid out displays.

It's a good thing that the 8 euro combo ticket included the Baptistery entrance because I was a little underwhelmed by this small museum. It had some interesting displays though. Also, it didn't open until 3 pm

This is a nice, small museum . The main reason to buy a ticket is for admittance into the baptistry.

We were the only visitors at the time and really enjoyed the history and exhibits. The mosaics and statues were stunning. Price of admission included with baptistery.

Most interesting to see what was uncovered in the ground near the cathedral. The mosaics are fantastic and other parts of pots and building parts. But no explanations in English so I made up my own stories as to what things were. Should have gotten...More
