We purchased a pass to this place and we were astounded by the sheer size of the theatre. We were also impressed by the library and its interesting collection of books.

Check with Parma tourism. I do believe it closes later than this site states. Inside: Amazing amphitheater and beautiful 17th century artwork.

The last stop on our day trip to beautiful Parma was Palazzo della Pilotta, home to the Parma Galleria Nazionale, the Archeological Museum and Teatro Farnese (one ticket for all three of them is 10€). Baroque style Teatro Farnese, is an absolute must visit: this...More

The Teatro Farnese and the Galleria Nazionale made for a splendid day in Parma. I was amazed to be in a room alone with a Leonardo da Vinci drawing that was just exquisite--"la Scapilata," which means the woman with the messy hair. The museum is...More

How often can you come within inches of the work of Leonardo da Vinci . The drawing of a young girl in this gallery is exquisite and the highlight of the many renaissance religious and other works.

The collection, especially the early Renaissance works were first rate. There were other rooms that were less attractive, but overall it's an excellent museum .
