We spent the day in Modena so a trip to the market was a must. The stalls had great local produce, all displayed very attractively. The atmosphere was very busy and bustly but we still got to see all the stalls. We stopped for something...More

Was recommended by the hotel we stayed at in Castelvetra in Modena. Small but perfectly formed and can get lots of local produce at extremely good prices. Rarities such as 60 month Parmeggiano Reggio, fresh truffles, local pasta etc. Place was buzzing and you can...More

Authentic Italian food, wines and vinegar. We bought seven different types at reasonable prices. You need to have right expectation for this place. It's very down to earth, not super clean and polish.

Yes it is a great market. Lots of fresh produce and places where you can buy food and drink to consume on the premises. We wished that we were self-catering rather than visiting for the day. We did however find a great restaurant in the...More

Very interesting, genuine food market in a lovely little town. People very friendly. Had a light lunch at one of the market stalls - very tasty and very good value.

Really sorry for your bad experience. As you can see from other people's stories it can be quite different. Normally is exactly the opposite: tourists are pampered in a special way. I don't know where you are from, but we can only hope you soon...More

Relatively small market that has all local delicacies you can imagine: cheeses, meats, salami, vegetables, fruits, sweets, nuts, wine. Everything is so colorful, fresh and colorful! The best place to buy food for a picnic. It is opened till 2pm, so plan accordingly.
