We were in Bologna on route to Ravenna. We had a morning to do a bit of sightseeing and stumbled upon the ex Ghetto Ebraico and the museum. Fascinating part of the city's history. Worth a visit if you're interested.

Where do I start? I'm very interested in Jewish history, particularly the experience of Jewish communities in different parts of the world. There is certainly an interesting story here, but it has been presented in a way that is most unfriendly and almost indigestible for...More

Insufficient information about the Jews in Bologna and Northern Italy. Displays too general. Insufficient artifacts; mainly rather didactic displays/posters.

A museum located in the former Jewish Ghetto. It covers in detail the Jewish history of Bologna. High tech sound system to enable visitors to have explanations in their own languages, pity it was temperamental on our visit. Well worth the visit

I'm glad I went but was hoping for something more. I know the Jews of Bologna have quite a history and I wish the exhibit had been more informative. The building and surrounding neighborhood are fantastic. Maybe a walking tour of the history and area...More
