This was the first stop on a food tour I took in Bologna. The fruit and vegetable market is impressive but don't miss the "street food" stalls tucked away along the sides of the market. There are some great snacks here.

A friend who lives here took me to the place and it was nice to see all the ingredients of Italian cuisine lined up so nicely. We went to the food court where we had pizza.

Really nice place to have a good lunch/dinner....or just to hang out with some nice wine. Amazing panini, focaccia, tasty local wine, and smiling staff! Everything you might need is directly here :-)

I make sure to visit the local market whenever I go to a new city. It tells you the way the locals live, cook and eat. Mercato delle Erbe is a small but very nicely displayed market. You can also buy veggies, cheese and other...More

Right smack in the center of Bologna, El Mercato de Erbe is a great meeting point for Friends & Families alike. With a great variety of restaurants to choose from, one can enjoy Bologna’s traditional food & drinks.

I visited this market as part of a food walking tour organised by the Bologna information centre. This market is one of the better ones to visit. Lots of good quality fresh produce as well as other types of food like cheese and ham. Really...More

You can get everything you need here, produce, cheese, meats, bread, wine. If you are self-catering in Bologna I highly recommend this market.

Yes, although at busy times the alleyways you use to get there are full of people and chairs from nearby bars and restaurants. Despite this there is room. Once inside again, it is busy but there is no reason why wheelchairs... More
