Lovely arched boulevard which links the train station to the centre. There are the usual expensive shops, but also more affordable bars, ice-cream parlours, etc.

High end shopping, walkable, restaurants serving 8 euro appertivo buffets along this road. Very enjoyable, no junky souvenir shops.

This is the main shopping centre but not cheap. Good fun however with clothing shops and ice cream parlours mixed together.

This long avenue has shops, restaurants, cafes and a church to take your interest. Both sides are mainly covered with a lovely gallery so you can take your time and keep out of the sun or the rain!

Like most cities, this is the pedestrian city with lots of shopping. It is not as high end as other places, but also has nor Italian stores as opposed to places I could find back home. Nothing special, but nothing bad either.

A good walk can be had from the train station to the main piazza; nice shopping stores along the way, some good cafes, and you are covered in case of rain or strong sun! I would've given it 5 stars if it was a pedestrian...More

Our hotel was situated here, and walking up and down under the porticos meant we could to get to all the main parts of Bologna easily

To get to the main plaza (Maggiore), consider taking this grand avenue. There are myriad statues, sights, stores, and eateries along the way for you to enjoy. Maybe even a street artist or two if you're lucky.
