A tedious collection of paintings and alleged art objects that taxed the imagination of the critics who described them. Don't go.

This is a beautifully displayed presentation of an extensive collection of paintings and etchings by Italy’s 20th century master. His delicate still lives of mainly bottles are fascinating. Not everyone’s taste but worthwhile

I saw New York's Met wonderful exhibition some years ago... it was comprehensive and rare because it drew from private, as well as public, collections. I was very happy to spend time once again with these little jewels. He is a painter's painter! It is...More

Located temporarily in Bologna's museum of modern art,the Morandi collection is fairly small and lacks diversity. Morandi is an acquired taste and leaves me cold and bored.

I am a big fan of Morandi and couldn't wait to see his exhibition. It is now being housed in the MamBO gallery which was quite close to my hotel so I could walk there. I loved the collection. All cool, calm and tranquil. The...More

Small museum in the Palazzo Comunale housing a vast collection of Morandi works. If you like Morandi, take note: the collection will soon be moved into the Mambo museum so the only part missing will be the artist studio which should remain in Via Fondazza...More

The museum itself is excellent. Morandi seemed to specialise in still lifes, re-arranging and painting the same 6 bottles and jars for 40 years. Also a range of landscapes, and all in a distinctive range of muted shades. This isn't intended to sound negative, very...More

We did not know this artist, but we decided to go to the museum, anyway. Wish we had not. Pavarotti may have appreciated Morandi (his daughters have loaned several pieces to this exhibit), but we did not.

The entrance is very expensive and the exposure is poor and confusing. It is worth going to the entrance of the museum to enjoy part of the palace but that's it. We were not but it has another museum next door which could be worth.
