The plaza is actually defined by its proximity to the Pantheon and to a delightful Baroque creation of a fanciful fountain. The plaza is nothing unusual or particularly noteworthy otherwise. The interest for us was how a 20 foot tall, red marble obelisk from one...More

If you have time to kill, go. Otherwise, not a must see. It sits right outside the pantheon which again, is over crowded. Beware of street vendors attempting to sell bracelets or other things. I personally found it a bit dirty, didn't really care for...More

It’s in a good location adjacent to the Pantheon but it’s surrounded by over-priced food places and very busy.

Rome has so many wonderful squares filled with lots of cozy cafes and pizzerias. This square is located directly across from the Pantheon so it was on our way. I would have to say that compared to the other squares in Rome, this one did...More

As with so many of Rome's wonderful squares, when we arrived at the Piazza della Rotonda opposite the Pantheon, there was a sea of people enjoying themselves - some sitting almost up against the fountain, some kids running around, tourist families orienting themselves and deciding...More

In addition to being a place to view the Pantheon, you can also see the fountain and the street performers. They are actually quite entertaining and adds to the whole experience of being at the Pantheon.

Different street performers in this Piazza. One time we were there and a beautiful opera voice from within the Piazza made us linger here to appreciate the whole piece of music. The other time it was a Rock band performing some classic rock. We enjoyed...More

This is the square just outside of the Pantheon. It is mostly car free. Lots of Hotels in the area, tons of cafes and of course the Pantheon. There is a taxi stand in one corner of the square which is nice to use to...More

It really depends the type of place you stay in. I stayed in a lovely small hotel about 4 doors down for about 200AUD a night
