First, Katie's recommendations re food were just wonderful, so reading her blog before going is a must. I booked a tour of the Capitoline Museums for myself, my husband (who was using a wheelchair for distances) and my best friend. It was Italian independence day...More

Initially we were disappointed that Katie wasn't available for our tour in late April, but we went ahead and booked one with her colleague Maurizio Di Franco anyway--and we were thrilled. We strolled through Testaccio and Trastevere, stopping to sample Roman specialities along the way....More

I booked this tour as a Christmas gift for my husband. We had done tours before in Rome and some had proven to be a little dry and a little staid. I knew of Katie's blog and journalism before booking the trip and had a...More

Our Katie Parla experiences are separated by six years. We loved her tours of Rome (food tour, Vatican tour) in 2012 and eagerly devoured two more tours (Italian cocktails in Rome, Ostia Antica) in 2018. If anything, Katie is even better as a guide: so...More

We had a terrific tour of the Travestere neighborhood with Katie. She's so knowledgable about the history, locals, and vibe of this charming area. We popped into a couple of spots to try tasty pizza, beer, and other foods too. Katie had an easy going...More

Katie's tour of the Testaccio Market was so much more that just a 'food tour'. We learned a lot about the foods on offer, had some great samples, and a fine lunch at Mordi e Vai, That was just the start though - when she...More

We paid €250 for a 3 hour food tour. It was a private tour, with just our group. Other tours could vary. It wasn't with Katie, but a colleague, as she was out of the country.
