The Keats-Shelley House is practically right next to the Spanish Steps, so it would be a pity if you went to the one and neglected the other, particularly if you are a literary enthusiast! many of us would have read and studied Keats and Shelley...More

I've wanted to visit this house for a number of years but each time I've been to Rome it seems to have passed me by, thankfully not this time. Keats' poetry has long been a significant part of my life and standing in the room...More

Situated at the base of the Spanish Steps sits this small "bijou" museum. I know little of Keats or Shelley but this nicely maintained and well staffed museum was very interesting. Good video room as an introduction. Some more read poetry would be a possible...More

A beautiful little gem of a museum by the foot of The Spanish Steps. A must for any Keats and/or Shelley lover. In fact, a must for any literary lover.

Really enjoyed learning more about Keats' life and other poets from the romantic era. The main salon is a book lover's dream; the smell is amazing and all those beautiful old leather bound books are so satisfying to look at!
